Palazzo dei Priori, also known as the “Merchants' Palace”, is situated on the main street of the town of Corciano next to the “Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo”. It dates from the 15th century.
It is evidence, together with other public buildings, of the importance of the town during the Middle Ages.
In these times, the town market was held under its porch, whilst public assemblies took place upstairs.
